A Film That Speaks to Riders…

By Bud Wilkinson of RIDE-CT.com

Sure, it was in the low 40s today, but it was still a great day to ride. How often do New England riders get to log miles in late January? Not often. No matter that a missed turn resulted in the unexpected challenges of a muddy dirt road. It was still fun. And so’s this short film from Josh Manning that requires no set-up or explanation:

CHANCE ENCOUNTER from Josh Manning on Vimeo.

Update: Since posting “Chance Encounter” last night, I’ve been trading emails with movie-maker and actor Josh Manning, who played the part of the overworked guy who discovers the parked motorcycle. He’s native of North Carolina, who grew up riding and racing dirt bikes. He went to UNC and graduated from the William Esper Studio in New York. Doing a film in Europe on a BMW GSA spurred a desire “to make unique motorcycle-driven films.” “Chance Encounter” is the result of a conversation with writer/photographer friend Jon Beck and was shot in the city and around Poughkeepsie and New Paltz.

Josh moved to Los Angeles in September. He recently did a soon-to-be-released film for Triumph called “The Lost Riders.” He’s also an MSF instructor for BRC classes in Pasadena. You can check out more of his work here.
