Up For Bid, Harley-Davidson Cards

RIDE-CT & RIDE-NewEngland reader Michael Trengali of Goshen, CT contacted me last weekend to say that he had six decks of the cards from 1997 that depict Harley-Davidson models built between 1903 and 1950. He thought I might like them to give to friends or perhaps stage a trivia contest on the website and use them as prizes.

I responded that maybe an auction, with the proceeds benefiting a non-profit charity, might be a better idea. We met this morning for a hand-off of the decks and Michael suggested that ASAP!, the After School Arts Program in Washington Depot, CT would be a worthy charity.

So, here goes. I’m setting a reserve of $10 per deck, so ASAP! will get at least $60, a modest yet sincere sum. What are you willing to bid for a collectible deck of Harley-Davidson playing cards? I’m betting there are collectors of Harley-Davidson memorabilia out there who might just bid a good deal more than $10.

Email your bid to budw@ride-ct.com. The deadline for bidding is midnight Saturday, Jan. 30. Winners will be announced the next morning. If necessary in the case of heavy bidding, I’ll regularly update this page during the week to let everyone know what the highest bid is at the moment.
