MIDDLETOWN, CT – It’s the biggest motorcycle event in southern New England, and this year’s Middletown Motorcycle Mania attracted an estimated 6,000 bikes and 13,000 to 15,000 spectators.
Next year’s gathering will be the 10th and is set for Aug. 12 in downtown, with Aug. 19 reserved as the rain date. “We do want to make it as special as we can,” said Cathy Duncan of the Middlesex County Chamber of
Commerce. “The event is just so huge. What can we do next?”
Planning won’t begin until the new year, Duncan suggested one area of concern. “One of the things we have to work on is our parking,” she said.
As it is now, Middletown Motorcycle Mania occupies all of downtown, with latecomers forced to find spots on nearby side streets.

Yes, Kevin, it’s a mid-week event – and one you need to see at least once. My advice is to get there early.
Does the event actually take place on a Wednesday?
