The Ducati 1199 Panigale is getting recalled. Some 2,083 units from the model years 2012 and 2013 have been diagnosed with faulty left handlebar switches.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports “the left handlebar switch may not get power from its connection at the dashboard, preventing the horn, instrument panel display, high beam and right turn signals from functioning.”
Ducati is notifying owners and dealers will install an additional wiring harness free of charge. The recall begins May 16. The notice is posted here on the NHTSA’s website.
