Harley-Davidson and Victory used the opening day of the Progressive International Motorcycle Show in New York today to unveil new models, while other manufacturers used the event to show off previously announced 2011 models for the first time. RIDE-CT got up at 4 a.m., drove through heavy snow to Bridgeport, hopped on a Metro-North train and got to the Jacob K. Javits Center by 8:30 a.m. It was well worth the trip. For now, a few pictures from opening day:
First off, above, it’s the Harley Blackline, a new Softail model.
Next, from Victory, the High-Ball.
And, from Triumph, which has skipped the IMS in recent years, its two new Tiger 800 models.
The IMS runs through Sunday and it’s a great opportunity to see nearly every brand and model of bike in one spot, including machines made by BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Honda, Indian, Kawasaki, Royal Enfield, Star, Suzuki, Yamaha and Victory.
