Honda Unveils Six Models, Including CB1100

For three years, ever since its release in Japan and Australia, motorcycle purists who fondly recalls the ground-breaking CB750 Four having been screaming for the importation of the retro CB1100. Guess what? Honda announced this morning that the CB1100 will be among six new models getting released in the U.S. for the 2013 model year.

In addition to the CB1100, there are three new middleweights (the CBR500R sport bike, the CB500F naked, and the CB500X adventure bike),  a substantially redesigned CBR600R, and the distinctive Gold Wing F6B:

CB1100 – Classic in looks, the CB1100 (above) features an 1,140cc air-cooled, fuel-injected engine, 18-inch wheels and optional ABS.  It will be available in March in only one color – candy red. MSRP is $9,999; ABS $10,999.

Gold Wing F6B – This blacked-out Gold Wing has an 1,832cc, six-cylinder engine and comes in two trims levels. The standard is $19,999, while the deluxe will sell for $20,999, beginning in February.

CB500X – This entry-level adventure bike has an adjustable windshield and large gas tank. No word on pricing, but it is expected to be out in July.

CB500F – This all-new naked bike will be out in April. The price is $5,499 or $5,999 for ABS.

CBR500R – A next step up for riders of the CBR250R or for those who want to begin with something a little bigger, the CBR500R will be out in April for $5,999 (or $6,499 with ABS).

CBE600R – The redesigned CBR600R will feature will feature stronger engine output and a new front end suspension. No pricing yet. Due in March.

Returning for the 2013 model year will be the VFR1200F, CBR1000RR and the CB1000R.
