As promised, Indian introduced its new engine for upcoming models under the ownership of Polaris over the weekend at Daytona Bike Week. Dubbed the Thunder Stroke 111, the 111 cubic inch (1811cc) V-twin powerplant features a 49-degree angle and 9.5:1 compression ratio. It recreates the look of the Indian Chief of the 1940s with slanted fins and tapered cylinders. Indian provides a video backgrounder:
