Four Arrested for Motorcycle Proposal Stunt

Remember back in late January when 24-year-old Hector Martinez of Covina, CA and his riding buddies held up traffic on the I-10 freeway so he could propose marriage to girl friend Paige Hernandez? Well, the stunt has now resulted in the arrest of Martinez and three others.

All four were booked on suspicion of misdemeanor public nuisance and participation in an unlawful assembly. Martinez also booked on suspicion of exhibition of speed. They were later released. Ducati reported some impressive year-end figures for 2012 at the “Audi Annual Press Conference” held in Bologna, Italy yesterday. Revenue was up 16 percent over 2011 with a record 44,102 motorcycles sold. “Our growth rate has been especially impressive in the U.S., currently our primary-focus market, with sales up by 21% compared to 2011,” said Gabriele Del Torchio, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding. Audi owns Ducati.
