Electric motorcycle maker Lightning unveiled what it calls the fastest production bike on the planet on Saturday. With more than 200 horsepower and 168 ft/lbs of torque, the LS-218 was revealed at the Quail Motorsport Gathering in Carmel, CA. The “218” in the model name refers to the top speed of a prototype race model of the bike.
The LS-218 will have a range of more than 100 miles at “highway speed,” Lightning reports, and will recharge in less than 30 minutes. The company is now taking orders for the LS-218. “Visor Down” reports that the price for the bike starts at $38,888.
I can’t wait to ride an electric superbike to experience the silence of power!
