McGregor, Boorman Have New “Long Way Home” Series

Has there ever a better show about motorcycling than the “Long Way…” series involving friends Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman? They’ve gone the “Long Way Round” the globe, the “Long Way Down” through Africa and the “Long Way Up” through South America.

Now, they’e going the “Long Way Home.”

Apple TV+ has announced their new 10-part travelogue series that will debut on May 9. They’ll start at McGregor’s home in Scotland, go through 15 European countries and as far north at the Arctic Circle, before ending up at Boorman’s home in England.

Rather than riding modern motorcycles, this time they’re taking vintage machines on their jaunt. Publicity photos reveals their rides to be an old Moto Guzzi and an old BMW. They may be less reliable but the 50-year-old bikes are definitely fun to ride.

Of course, there are some mishaps and oddities along the way. Apple TV+ dropped the trailer for the series on Wednesday. Here it is:
