New Digs for Norton Motorcycles in Donington Hall

By Bud Wilkinson of RIDE-CT.com

The revived Norton Motorcycles company is getting new digs down the road from its current operation inside the famed Donington Park Grand Prix Circuit. The company today announced the purchase from British Airways of Donington Hall, an estate that looks quite a bit like Downton Abbey.

DoningtonHallCastleDoningtonNorton gets the castle, 25 surrounding acres and the modern 45,000-square-foot Hasting House facility (below), which will be the home of Norton production and design offices. Norton CEO Stuart Garner said, “Donington Hall conjures up a uniquely British way to show style, strength and quality, which are all great attributes of the Norton brand.”

Hastings HouseGarner noted, “It became clear some time ago that we had outgrown our current location. To be able to move less than a mile down the road to an outstanding facility like Donington Hall is ideal.”
