If the forecast is to be believed, the temperature is about to climb (at least modestly) to the point where more of us will be getting out bikes out of winter hibernation. Some riders never quit, though. Snow doesn’t deter them. A video posted on YouTube earlier this month shows a rider making a commute from Brooklyn to Manhattan on a 1980 Honda Cub.
I’ve messaged the rider hoping to get more details on the experience.

“Consumer Reports” ranks the most reliable motorcycles in its just-released May issue, a tease for which you read here. The tease doesn’t name names, but the unsurprising headline reads “Japanese bikes have fewer problems than BMW or Harley models.” Only subscribers get to read the full article.

Under the heading of “little known fact,” Alabama is the only state that doesn’t require an “M” endorsement on a driver’s license to operate a motorcycle. That may change as a bill is pending in the state legislature. AL.com has the story here.
