RIDE-CT.com Gets A Gift

By Bud Wilkinson of RIDE-CT.com

John Purdy Jr., who oversees the motorcycle safety courses at Naugatuck Valley Community College and is a Connecticut Rider Education Program instructor, preaches the importance of riders being visible to drivers. He always wears a bright, reflective vest when riding and, a couple of years ago, had one made up for RIDE-CT.com.

Over the weekend, Purdy surprised me by presenting a new vest that’s his latest design. He starting to market the eye-catching vests – his says “Church of 2 Wheels – Waste No Curve” on the back – and the website will have details soon. Just want to says thanks for the gift.

The Suzuki demo truck will visit New Haven Powersports on Saturday, July 7, when the dealership holds a summer open house. Hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

RIDE-CT.com makes it a habit of snapping pictures of interesting bikes spotted along the road. Ken Topar of Fairfield had his 2012 Moto Guzzi Griso parked in Kent on Sunday afternoon. What a great color! it sounded great, too.
