THOMASTON, CT – Roost Powersports is offering a $10,000 reward for anyone providing information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the thieves who burglarized the store at 323 S. Main St. here early Friday morning.
As many as six thieves broke the glass in the store’s showroom and got away with seven new Husqvarna motorcycles, valued at more than $80,000.
Roost Powersports owner Jason Pinette told the Republican-American newspaper that video cameras caught six people loading the bikes into a box truck about 3 a.m. Friday. He said the dirt bikes were valued at between $9,000 and $12,000 each.
“This kind of thing shouldn’t be happening around here. As a small-business owner, it really packs a punch on me,” Pinette told the newspaper.
Roost Powersports has insurance. Pinette spent much of Friday cleaning up and doing paperwork for police and his insurance company.
