Willie G. Davidson, the grandson of company co-founder William A. Davidson, retires today from Harley-Davidson after a half-century of designing motorcycles. Rick Barrett of the “Journal Sentinel” in Milwaukee spoke with the 78-year-old Davidson on Saturday about his career and his accomplishments, among them the Super Glide model that came out in 1971 and which was the company’s first attempt at a factory custom. The stars of “American Pickers,” Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, were in Lewiston, PA yesterday and Wolfe ended up spending $11,500 on a 1950 Harley-Davidson. “The Sentinel” has the story here.

We’ve all heard the phrase “ride hard” but the line has a different meaning for a California man who is suing BMW and seat-maker Corbin-Pacific. He claims that a four-hour ride on his 1993 Beemer in May 2010 gave him “a sever case of priapism.” The Courthouse News Service has the story here.
