The COVID-19 pandemic is prompting government edicts and voluntary cancelations, closures and postponements of events. RIDE-CT & RIDE-New England wants to help keep riders aware and is launching this page to do so:
Cancelations
Cabin Fever Custom Car & Motorcycle Show – The two-day event at Naugatuck Entertainment Facility in Naugatuck, CT set for April 4 and 5 has been “postponed/canceled,” according to a Facebook post. “Further updates” promised.
Greenwich Concours d’Elegance – The 25th edition of the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance scheduled for May 29-31 in Greenwich, CT has been canceled “due to coronavirus health concerns,” according to a press releas quoting event chairman McKeel Hagerty. It will return in 2021.
Closures
Hot Leathers – Hot Leathers retail outlets in the U.S. closed today until further notice. Online sales continue. The company says, “We will be monitoring weekly and will reopen as soon as we think it is safe…”
Postponements
Jap Bike Mike’s Swap Meet – Jap Bike Mike’s Swap Meet set for March 29 at 508 International in Charlton, MA has been postponed. “When we have a new date in place, we will get the word out. Hopefully, this craziness will end soon,” the event says.
Ride 1 Rally – The Ride 1 Rally set for April 18 at Lime Rock Park racetrack in Lakeville, CT “will be moved to a later day,” the venue announced today. Lime Rock says, “We will make an announcement about the new date as soon as possible.”
Elsewhere…
American Flat Track – American Flat Track has postponed events. The Atlanta Short Track on March 28 and the Charlotte Half-Mile on April 4 have been postponed. Ticket sales for the Texas Half-Mile on May 2 and the So-Cal Half-Mile on May 9 have been halted.
Isle of Man TT Races – The 2020 Isle of Man TT Races scheduled to take place between May 20 and June 13 in the U.K. have been canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
