Readers of RIDE-CT & RIDE-New England are split on a new law in Spain that requires riders and their passengers to wear protective gloves when out on the road. A plurality of 38 percent called the law an example of governmental overreach, while 30 percent think it’s a wise idea, results of the website’s most recent poll show.
Two other voting options perhaps made riders’ opinions less crystal clear because one option basically excused them from taking a position, while the other made fun of the question.
A total of 28 percent of the 82 readers who cast ballots said the issue was of no concern to them because they always wear gloves while riding. And four percent (representing three voters) said the law is another step toward banning flip-flops while riding.
The poll ran from April 21 until this morning. Turnout was average. The website’s polls are non-scientific and are conducted for fun and out of curiosity.
New Poll Seeks Reaction to Harley-Davidson’s Pan America
A new poll has now been posted seeking reaction to Harley-Davidson’s new debut adventure model, the Pan America 1250 (and Pan America 1250 Special).
Will it be a huge success and a game-changer for the brand? Will it flop because of dealer apathy and lacking of understanding of the type of riders the model seeks to lure? Or will be a model that neither soars nor sinks but merely sticks around for some years like the V-Rod?
Vote now! The poll is atop the right-hand column of every page on this website.
The website’s polls run for no set period; from a couple of weeks to a month or more. Some are serious, others are frivolous. Some are tied to recent news items, others just off the wall. If you have a suggestion for a poll question, please email budw@ride-ct.com.
