PICKERINGTON, OH – The dates and location for the 2018 AMA Hillclimb Grand Championship have been circulating for months, but the American Motorcyclist Association has now confirmed via a press release that the Quaboag Riders Motorcycle Club will host the event in Monson, MA from July 27-29.
This will be the fifth time the “Monson Monster” has been the site of the event since 1993. Last year, it was held in Minnesota.
The AMA Hillclimb Grand Championship pits amateur hillclimbers against one another in multiple classes. Age, displacement and bike configuration classes are featured. The competition determines who gets to use the AMA National No. 1 plate.
“The Quaboag facility always provides a great venue for the hillclimb, and I am sure we are going to see some excellent runs this year,” said AMA Track Racing Manager Ken Saillant.
The Quaboag Riders Motorcycle Club has been operating the facility for 74 years.
