Readers Say They Rode More In Winter; New Poll Posted

RIDE-CT & RIDE-New England readers took advantage of the relatively warm, snow-less winter to ride more than usual, results from the latest reader poll show.

A total of 46 percent of those voting said they rode “Every day possible” over the winter. An additional 30 percent said they rode “a little.” Only 24 percent said their bikes remained parked once put away.

The poll was conducted Feb. 27 through March 23, an abnormally long period because of start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A new poll has now been posted centering on the potential impact of the pandemic. Is asks how riders’ plans for the 2020 riding season will be impacted.

  1. I probably ride half my annual miles in winter for another reason besides the weather. Heated clothing. That wasn’t available many years ago.
